Corporate Solution Manager – UK Leading Security Integrator

The property
Salary: Between £50k - £60k Basic Benefits: Additional OTE, Car or Car allowance, Pension, Phone & Laptop
My client is embarking on the next phase of development with an ambitious plan to consolidate its position across high security, enterprise, utilities and higher education markets coupled to improving its specific market offerings. The business has a strong position across Utilities and CNI sectors and is the market leader in the Lone Worker Protection market, the aspiration is to now lead select corporate enterprise sectors through dedicated and stronger vertical account and business development disciplines in this area. As part of this growth plan they are looking to appoint a new Corporate Solutions Manager. The individual will join an established sales marketing team and will be responsible for developing further the end user foot print. Responsible for all aspects of business development and sales across specified sectors and working closely with the Sales and Marketing Director and other senior roles, the overarching objective will be to devise and execute a plan focused on securing new corporate contracts with organisations across key end user verticals such as regulated manufacturing, healthcare, IT and Telco. Higher education etc The dominant priorities can be summarised as follows:
  • Develop an Account and Business Development Plan and ensure that all sales and commercial targets are delivered.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Director in identifying, developing and delivering all prospective business.
  • Work with the functional teams across the business in anticipation of bids to ensure thatthe company achieves differentiation over its competitors.
This individual needs to be an experienced, versatile and inspirational sales person with a strong understanding of all market dynamics from commercial through to technical. They should be comfortable working independently, capable of working at a senior level, influencing change and making their presence felt on key issues. Key responsibilities
  • To create and execute against a compelling business development plan anticipating needs and engaging the wider business to create and deliver compelling solutions and options and be responsible for associated delivering  agreed target £ revenue and % margin targets.
  • Identify new customers and networks and leverage existing networks for new security solution opportunities across the above disciplines with a strong emphasis on recurring revenue.
  • Target and qualify the ‘right’ fit customers for the business, achieving the required activity metrics to develop a pipeline of opportunity to sustain regular monthly on-target performance.
  • To build strong relationships across the senior customer stakeholders and influencers within specified markets and opportunities.
  • Ensure the preparation and presentation of competitive bids/proposals within the specified timescales and company bid protocols. Provide excellent customer facing skills.
  • Where applicable, manages existing customers maximising contract value and profitability through structured account planning.
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Director to ensure effective coordination of company resource toward the timely preparation of proposals and the optimisation of market relationships.
  • To make sales projections monthly and quarterly, delivering a minimum of 85% accuracy across three month projections.
  • Maintains an accurate database, pipeline and customer records within company CRM system and provides timely and detailed monthly reports.
  • Monitors market and makes recommendations relating to the commercial development of target sectors / customers.
  • To work with operations teams toward achieving high customer satisfaction levels and the generation of new opportunities.
  • To establish and pursue, in conjunction with Sales and Marketing Director, a pragmatic personal development plan - incorporating regular appraisals designed to optimise performance and professional development.
  • To attend sales meetings, ensuring that the required level of preparation is completed.
  • To facilitate the prompt resolution of all market queries and pricing requests.
Essentail Profile:
  • UK citizen or valid work permit
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Recognised Commercial/Legal qualification
  • Valid Driving License
  • Ability to manage managers and lead teams
  • Knowledge of security systems market
  • Strong contractual and commercial skills
  • Experience of complex contracting / construction environments
  • Negotiation skills
  • Change management skills
  • Go the extra mile / solutions mind-set and attitude
  • Culturally versatile - ability to build rapport and trust at all levels
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
Relevant experience – at least 5 years in either a security systems or integrated services/contracting/engineering business
