Business Development Manager – £50k Basic + OTE

The property
Salary: £50k Basic Benefits: OTE, Car/Car allowance & Comapny Pension
Role: Selling the full portfolio of  security products at senior levels of strategic partners under OEM and customers branded supply arrangements. Identify, develop and close opportunities through both senior key account management and direct end-user sales prospecting for new accounts. Key activities:
  • Development and closure of new business sales within the Vertical Markets of Retail and Transport/Logistics. Focus into driving new business sales within these verticals.
  • The identification and acquisition of new routes to market for the core security business with a focus on the IT sector and major security OEM and Integration partners for the expanding range of IP based Video Transmission, Video Analytics and Mobile technologies.
  • Introduce Partner Programme for strategic accounts in the UK and Ireland focused on the expansion of the product footprint within the accounts through the introduction of new products and the growth of revenue through the development and implementation of strategic and tactical sales initiatives.
  • Strategic alliance management for joint marketing and sales activities to grow sales.
Recruitment Specification: Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Ideally Cisco Certified or Equivalent
  • Strong track record of achievement working in the development of large, complex OEM, Distributor or System Integrator/Installer channels within the security and/or IT industry.
  • Proven success in delivering new business revenue within year one from new end user accounts whilst managing and growing existing large, complex accounts.
  • 5 years plus experience with IT / Access Control and integrated security solutions at senior levels with demonstrable success.
  • Experience working to sales targets of over £2 Million per annum.
  • Understanding of channel marketing and pricing concepts within a multi-channel environment.
  • A strong network of contacts at all levels within the security consultant market.
  • Experienced at building effective client relationships through multiple levels of an account.
  • Able to acquire a deep understanding of an accounts business through research and ongoing engagement with staff and their customers.
  • Understanding of the convergence of IT and traditional security markets.
  • Technically competent with IP based security solutions and traditional CCTV and access control technologies.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise managing key account strategic programs Key Knowledge Areas
  • Fluent in English and second European language. German or French preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of the UK/Irish and European security market. Personal Attributes
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation and sales skills.
  • Existing relationships at senior levels with End Users, Major security companies and IT companies working with video over IP solutions and access control solutions
  • Strong presenter to small and large audiences.
  • Accurate and timely communication of resource requirements and forecasts.
